STANDARD COMPONENTS OF DRUM TYPE ASPHALT HOT MIX PLANT:-
Aggregate feeding bins are equipped with variable speed drive motors and gear boxes on each bin. These variable speed drive motors control and regulate the flow of aggregate individually thus allowing addition of required proportion of individual aggregates as per mix design.
The gathering conveyor supplied with asphalt mixer is equipped with a scrapper to keep the belt clean.
There is a single deck vibrating screen placed after the gathering conveyor. Vibrating screen will help eliminate the oversized aggregates.
The charging conveyor is an important component. This conveyor helps to put the aggregates from below the vibrating screen into the drying and mixing drum for further process.
Not only this, the conveyor is fitted with a load cell for weighing of aggregates when they are being charged into the drying and mixing drum.
Charging conveyor is driven by variable speed drive.
Drying and mixing drum of hot mix plant is the most important component. As the name suggests, it does the task of drying the aggregates as they enter the drum and at a later stage, the aggregates are mixed effectively with bitumen and other minerals.
This drum is with specially designed flights which treat each type of aggregate thoroughly for drying and also help in uniform mixing with bitumen and other minerals.
The burner is efficient low noise burner capable of drying the aggregates faster.
Asphalt drum mix plant with low noise and efficient burner is capable to work with diesel, LDO and furnace oil (optional). Maintenance free burner is with strong flame capable of heating the aggregates to the maximum.
Burner works endlessly to reduce the aggregate moisture content to minimum. The operator will get good production because of the specially designed burner which will give decent performance and desired results.
The plant is fitted with thermometric instruments at different places so as to indicate the temperature of exhaust gases, bitumen and mixture.
It stores the filler material like lime, dust etc. and transfer the metered material to the coating section of the drum mixer. The filler material is metered by the rotary valve and variable speed motor. The filler material is conveyed pneumatically by air blower/ air compressor to the drum mixer.
Asphalt storage tanks come as cylindrical or U shaped. These storage tanks are insulated with rock wool of 50 mm thickness to avoid heat loss and reduce burner fuel consumption. Storage tanks are mounted on a sturdy full chassis.
Automatic pressure jet oil burner, bitumen pump with jacketed oil body, bitumen metering system with variable speed motor and hot oil circulation motor is provided as a standard package with the burner.
Two additional asphalt tanks can be connected to the main tank and use a common pumping station. Depending on the requirement of the customer, additional bitumen storage tanks can also be provided.
Load out conveyor is used to discharge the hot mix material into truck. The other end is equipped with a GOB hopper. GOB hopper helps in controlling segregating of the mixed asphalt. It is useful to comes with hydraulically operated gates.
It is fabricated from CRC sheet and powder coated with user friendly push button / touch screen operating console. All the operating buttons are logically placed in a sequence for starting and stopping the plant. Separate console with feather touch buttons and digital display is provided to set the variable and other constant parameters. It is with option of Auto and Manual mode for operation and equipped with printer.PLC based control panel withHMI& SCADA Enabled are also available to meet the customer’s requirement.
It is insulated fabricated from M.S. sheet, angles & channel with wooden flooring & walls. The cabin has glass windows all around, so that the operator has full view on all sides from the cabin for ease of operation and control.
Exhaust Gases Produced by burning fuel on any HOT MIX PLANT contains fine dust particles and burnt carbon smoke. Such gases are passed through this pollution control unit which is in two parts venturi ducts with water spraying and a separator tank. At throat of venturi duct water spraying nozzles producer, a mist of water in which all pollution particles mix and become heavy in weight. This wet gases then enters into separators tank in cyclonic motion & so they get separated in mud from main stream. The mud goes to water settling tank in the ground & is Periodically removed. Total pollution free clean gas goes into atmosphere. Pollution control efficiency is as close to high except very fine particles below 3 – Microns.
